Holz front end help please!

Bent an a-arm on an 04 800. Ordered new one from Matt, and I can't see the ring for the clip when the ball joint is fully seated in the a-arm. Matt says the bent one is from an old kit, and the new ones are made for the 07 ball joint which is taller (different thickness from the bent one and the new one). Does anybody know if the lengths are different before I order something that won't work? Part numbers on the 06 and 07 seem to be the same but different than the 04 and 05 which are different than each other.

Matt is sending me a spacer that he thinks will solve the problem. What I can't figure out is if it's too short already, how will a spacer help me out??? Maybe I'm wrong and worrying for nothing.

I'm not bashing Holz as I like the products. I just need to get this thing back together!

Thanks for the help!

Does anybody have an xp a-arm they can measure where the ball joint slides into the arm and tell me the thickness? The difference in mine are visible, and the crudest of tape measure should give me an idea.

Thanks!

All I can tell you for sure is that it's an 04 800 rev 144. The differences between models is unclear to me, but if it makes a difference and you tell me how to figure out which it is, I can do that. I just need to know what ball joint to order to fit into this new a-arm. No dealer close has one in stock to check, and they want twice what I can get one off the internet for to order one. Matt said a ball joint from an 07 would work, but I'd rather know for sure before shelling out the 30 bucks (guess that's cheap compared to what I'm into it so far and it still doesn't fit).
