Holz A Arms on the Pro, Opinions?

Looking for the good word from guys who rode on these last season (or are lucky enough to be riding on them this season already)

Does the extra couple inches in stance screw up the "flickibility" of the sled in the trees?

How's the Durability?

Can you get spare or replacement arms relatively quickly if needed during the season without buying the whole set?

What do you think?

The Holz arms are only 1/2" wider per side... They ride very well and you can adjust them back to 40" stance easily using the factory spacers.

I rode a HRP arm equipped PRO RMK for 4 days last season and liked them.

I've ran them on my IQ's.... and had fast shipping, usually same day, on replacement parts.

I have the holz on my d700 btw..stock width, work very well. i assumed your talking about 42" stance btw

I ran them last season and I loved them. Yes, they are 1" wider total in ski stance, but I actually liked it better that way. I narrowed it back down by switching out the mounting bracket on the ski/spindle, and actually found I liked it better wide. For what it is worth, this is my 4th sled in 7 years with Holz arms. Hate to say it bu I wrecked 1 and totalled 2 of the previous sleds. In EVERY case, the Holz arms came out clean. I can't say enough about Holz Racing between their products and customer service. 1st Class and Top Notch in every sense of the word.

I was kinda wondering the same question. Been looking at the Holz and the Z Broz A-arms. Any more comments or experience would be great!

I had Holz arms on my D8. Good solid product and the extra width wasn't noticeable. But...I would do the Zbroz arms if I had the coin for it right now. Super cool product.

Our arms are lighter and stronger than the OE parts. Almost 3lbs lighter
Replacement parts are available in the event you do break or bend one. In fact, our replacement cost is cheaper than Oe replacement cost, so there is yet another reason to ride with Holz arms.
We typically dont have availability issues unless you catch us early in the year when we are still in the middle of production for the coming season- that has since passed and we have tons of parts in stock now.

Are you widening the arms to lower the ride height a bit?

Curious

PS! And what would the price on a set of lower arms only be?

Mark, are these arms heat treated after welding like the stuff you used to build for the IQR? Those were unbelievably strong.

All of our tig weld chromoly parts recieve the same treatment. The only thing that is different is the jig.

No, ride height would remain unchanged.

Replacement lower arms are approximately $157 each, but they will not interchange with the stock parts. So if you don't already have our a-arm kit, then it wont do you any good to just buy the lowers.

I don't know about their A-arms but I had an issue with some vents I had ordered from them and they took care of me right away. Excellent costumer service! Hard to find that these days!!
What advantage do their A-arms have over stock?

Will the holz d8 arms and spindels fit the pro chassis? I have a spare set and would like to know if they would work or not thank you

They can be made to fit. The D8 has standard hardware and the Pro has metric.
Certain components on the Pro such as the upper ball joint and the tie rod ends will not fit your D8 arms, so you would need to swap those over as well.
The lower shock mount hole needs to be drilled out to accept the Pro 10mm bolt.

thank you very much ! I take it the easy steer D8 spindels will also go over a OK ?

Nice, Info from some guys who have used them on the Pro and from Holz as well. Much appreciated!

A few other questions:

It's 1/2" wider per side over stock correct. My ski spacers are already at their narrowest, just want to confirm it will be 1" wider total from stock?

Are the shock mount locations equivalent to the stock pro shock lengths?

Are the uppers/lowers transferable from left to right? ie could I purchase one extra arm and be able to use it on either side in case of a nasty hit?

Holz doesn't make a 43" A-Arm for the Assault.

Yeah, I know but if a guy did it, I believe someone offers a shock mod to shorten em up. I think it was Carl's, correct me if I'm wrong. Just trying to think ahead, in case I need to narrow up the new Assault.
