Holz A arms for 08 700 dragon camber question

Just got my Holz a arms and they say to reset your camber to 2.25" for a HRP1109 suspension and 3.0" for a HRP2113 suspension, which one does the 08 dragon have? Also the speak of an alignment bar to cross check, is this just any round straight rod that fits the spindle hole snugly, and reaches to the other spindle? As well they say to cut a 1/4" off each sway bar just wondering if anyone didn't do this and what happend?
Thanks Brad

HRP 1109 is the Holz Racing Products(HRP) part number for the A-Arms for 05-09 IQ (NOT for 09 Dragon)

HRP 2113 is the Holz part number for the Holz Spindles 05-09IQ

those numbers are just part numbers for Holz products. The Arms can be used with Holz A-arms or stock a-arms

A 3/8ths round bar that is stiff enough not to sag across the span will work. I got mine from a local Tractor Supply Company store.

Yep on the 3/8ths round bar plus it makes a good track holder upper for messing with rear suspension stuff (slide it into your rear suspension brackets to hold the track up when removing the rear suspension).

Trim your 08 sway bar as recommended (just lop off the end easy) the mount is closer to the middle of your buggy then stock by a tiny margin.

(my experts say) On your camber a good starting point on this suspension is starting with the adjustment nut (narrow nyloc nut inside top arm to spindle) so that it is flush and no or at max one thread is poking through. CAUTION: always run a snugness test on your pieces and parts after you've installed a new front suspension. Good idea to simply pre-check test prior to each ride. Kind of like a flight check. The one time you find a loose fastener pays for your time and energy plus maybe your health (old drag racing habit...when your suspension comes apart at 110mph it's not good). I'm a big fan of loctite even though it's a PIA when you are changing stuff out regularly.

I have both of these suspensions (two different sway mounts and styles) and I can't confidently say one is superior to the other...slightly different buggies so maybe that is it. But I wouldn't break the bank to go to the new sway system!

I think a 5/8" rod fits in the spindle after you remove the ski bushing. If you use a 3/8" rod, you will affect your camber adjustment by 1/8" when you meausure to the top of the rod. YMMV

Ya Poo's service manual list a 5/8" ground stainless rod about 4 feet long as the tool to use to check and set your camber. I ordered one from Poo its only like 25 bucks.
