I just ran across the holtzman fuel compinsator. It sounds like a great answer to jetting problems like change in altitude and temp. Has anyone had any experience with these? How do they work? Do they replace the main jets? I can't find anything that shows how they work.

Are you talking about the ATACC altitude compensator?

If so, then they work great. Install instructions are pretty straightforward or you can pay someone.

I have 2 '03 Edge 700s with ATACCs and never a lick of trouble. Mine are set -30 to +30 at 3000 ft. This lets me run from sea level to 6000 without a burble.

The ATACC works by varying air pressure in the float bowl of your carbs to very the amount of fuel pushed up out of the nozzle and needles. They will lean out your carbs from a base altitude and temperature as you go up the mountain.
