HM Turbo Question

I'm wondering if I could get input on HM Turbo. My brother and I are starting 2 new pro rmk project sleds and we were thinking about using the HM. Was wondering if there are actual plug and play or not? We have always had BD turbo's and for the most part they have been good besides dialing the fuel setting in.

Hm kit are extremely well put togheter, as plug and play as it can be(Vi-pec standalone ECU). pump gas, avgas, race gas setup all in one(just different mapping/boost/injectors.their water intercooler is a true longevity/reliabilty winner(the highest temp.we have seen is 30 celsius WOT where with no intercooler 80-90 celsius). If you are looking for a pull the rope and go setup, this kit is a safe bet.The ECU can be fitted on any turbo kit/mods on the market if you ever decide to go another route after that. hope this help Call Shane or Levi, they will guide you into their stuff.

there is one on the for sale threads, cheap cheap cheap.. ???

maybe that silver spatter in the pipe explains why so cheap cheap cheap ..

BD and forget it

If your considering 2 turbos I would do some research for spending that kinda money. On these forums your, in many, not all cases, gonna get biased opinions. Give a call to some shops that have dealt with both turbos and see what there opinions are, talk to the pros. There are a few in Canada, ??? in US. In these forums have a look at what second hand kits are for sale, what second hand sleds with turbos are for sale, and who's asking for help.

All the kits out there will require a little responsibility on the owners part. If you go into any kit with the mind-set that you will have to fiddle with it and tune at some level, then you will be off to a good start.

Have had an HM Turbo at the lower boost setting on pump gas 500+ miles no issues so far. I do all sorts of boondocking at low to mid throttle and low to wot and it has performed great. Of course I like climbing too, it pulls good, long or short. All I do is dump the fuel and oil into it, pull the chord, gripper and ripper.

HM upates or fine tuning:face-icon-small-sho, power up the vipec, plug the computer into the sled and share the laptop over the net.:face-icon-small-coo Oh and chat with Levi or ??? on the phone, good info! I just like riding and dont want to think or tinker, this kit has allowed me to do this so far.

pump gas, avgas, race gas setup all in one(
I was told there was not a race gas set up do to inconsitantcy's in the race gas from region to region?

uh yeah, pull and go is in the eye of the beholder. I have yet to see a turbo that is as pull and go, as a stock sled. Light years of advancement have been made in the last few years. Thanks to alot of hard work by all the turbo companies.

We are well beyond the days that F-bomb used to say "owning a turbo is like burning $100 bills"

Hey guys,
Just give HM a call and talk to Shane or Levi, they would be more than happy to talk to you. 408-273-6111.
