Hit the hills for the first time today

Finally got brave enough to hit the hills to check snow... There's snow; lots of it! Game on for the year. It was my first ride with my HPS can, and I'm only pulling 7650 rpm while climbing. This Poo secondary is lacking. I think I might try the team tied secondary to see if it will backshift a little better.
*Most interesting part of the day: Watching the local Cat dealer owner and two mechanics pull out a new proclimb 1100T with a new proclimb m800. Said they boiled the coolant right out of the 1100, but who knows what exactly happened.

Here are some pictures if I can figure out how to add them!

HiWaY, were you running the 40:1 premix in the first tank of fuel ? I did and on day one I was only pulling 7800-7900 climbing. Day two with straight 91 oct. I was pulling 81-8200. I'll give it a couple more rides before I worry about clutching.

Sent from my iPhone when I should be sledding.

also which fuel plug is installed..on the 11's last season polaris shipped them with the ethanol plug installed..that also hurt rpm's when running good fuel..might check that as well...

Looks Awesome. Can't wait to head out there this week for a Thanksgiving trip and try out the new Pro.

I highly recomend running the black/white secondary spring you will hold rpms and better backshift also. Also put in pink exhaust valve springs for above 7000 ft.

Good point. I forgot to mention that. I switched mine to the 91 oct. plug before running it.

Yes this years sticker is red! It was too darn cold to stick it on so I left it on my pocket! These pics are in the Wyoming range. I should have clarified this better but this is my second season on the sled. No ethanol plug and everything is the same as last year. I've seen other guys having the same issue, maybe I need to clean the exhaust valves and put a new belt on. I also hacked the outside edge of my skis off like napa matt and really liked the results. It tips over even easier now.

get rid of the hps can and you will gain back your rpms, i tried a hps on my pro and it robbed me about 250 rpms i then got me a mbrp and gained my rpms back up. i have tried 3 hps cans on other sleds but they dont work as good as a mbrp

That's the 1st negative I've heard on the HPS can. Scott claims increase in RPM over stock.

I am also interested.... Has anyone else experienced a lose in RPM with the HPS can on the PRO??

3 Buddies have Pros and they all run Holz clutching. New springs,Helix, and 64 gram weights and all three rip. From sea level to 10k it held rpm perfect and no belt problems all year.
The HPS can thing may be legit. Only one of the three have it and the one that does seems to pull about 1-200 rpm less. Speed wise and climbing performace wise I would say they are the same. Lack of rpm doesn't seem to hurt performance enough to notice. May try the mbrp can on it and see if rpms come back.

I'm seeing 83-8400 WOT climbing in deep heavy snow at 55-6000' w/ stock clutching on my 2012 163" Pro. Only engine mod I have is the HPS can. Seems to be about 100-150rpm more than the other guys in the area. I've only got 90kms on the sled, after another ride or 2 I'll add some weight to the clutch if it doesn't change.
