Hinson's Powersports in McCall

I have been going to McCall for at least one snowmobile trip a year for the last six years. It is common that when we hit town to stop by the local sled shop to nose around etc.

This time our first day out ended in big problems. Me sled broke down in the middle of nowhere and a long ways from any trails. Four and a half hours later we were at the trailer and heading back to the room for the night.

The next morning we showed up at Hinson's. Not only did they agree to work on the sled, the IMMEDIATELY pulled it into their shop and went to work on it. They not only fixed the broken parts under warranty, they also did the new piston and head update and new flash under warranty while it was there.

They bent over backwards finding parts and getting my sled put back together in time so I could bring it back home with me.

Another sled in our group also ended up having problems this same week and they again immediately pulled it into their shop and had it fixed for us the next morning. Again they were able to cover most of the cost under warranty.

Now it is important to realize that we live almost 9 hours away from McCall and have never bought a sled from Hinson's in the past, yet they treated us better than any place I have ever been. In fact, they treated us so well that a member of our group bought a sled from them and I will be buying my next new sled from them as well.

The sledding industry needs more dealerships like Hinson's as they absolutely bend over backwards to help customers out.

Jim and Shane are all about customer service and have a high degree of integrity. They can probably use some out of town support, the McCall economy sucks right now.

Ace in the hole,

The did the piston and head update and new reflash on my 2008 dragon and then some other warrant issues on a 2009 M8.

Ron,

I agree, McCall economy is hurting just like the small tourist town that I live in and anything that people can do to help out is great. Hinson's is also willing to offer great prices on their sleds as they cut my friend that bought the brand new sled a really good price.

Yup, they have helped me out a few times as well. Saved our weekend trip. Great people, great service. I recommend them as much as I can. Jim will even call me when they find another tunning secret on my sled:D. I put an SLP y-pipe, pipe, super Q can on, it helped out. Then I took it to Hinsons they put the SLP head and intake kit on. They tuned her right up and WOW what a difference. :beer;:beer; Cheers to everyone at Hinsons.

Thanks from Hinson's

Thanks to everyone who has posted kudos here, we really appreciate your support and will always strive to give snowmobilers and powersports enthusiasts alike the best service possible. And a BIG thanks for all of your business; past, present and future...you all keep food on our tables and the dealership doors open and we wouldn't be here without you. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU from all of us here at Hinson Power Sports!!!

It is good to see that you finally are doing it the way Harry use to. Great customer service will carry you a long way. Hensons mechanic's are some great guys. They ride, that makes a huge difference when you are describing your problem.
Great Job!

I'm driving all up from Boise to have my sled serviced, because their the only ones that have the warranty part.

Get this, they told me to bring it in Saturday morning, and I could test drive it that day, before I headed back to Boise. Now, that's service. I need to check if that offer is still valid, but just the thought of such a offer is unbelievable next to what I was getting in Boise.

I'm sure I'll be picking up some other parts while I'm there. Support your local shops.

cool, I will swing in there when I am there in 2 weeks, maybe I can get them to reflash my 09 dragon since my dealer says it doesn't excist. yet I call another local dealer and they said it did but I don't want to drive to that one.

Last year we went to McCall for the weekend and buddy busted a shock on his brand new dragon. Hinson's did not have one in stock and would not take one off showroom sled--even after he told them he would pay full price for BOTH of them in cash.

Not trying to flame...no matter what you do you can't make everyone happy. Not too many dealers would have agreed to that anyways.

They did have some great deals, and all the other parts that we needed. I'm going back in next time I'm in town.

Hinsons sold us two sled this year. On the first ride my 09 xp's recoil went out. The tech stayed late along with kyle (parts guy) to get it fixed so I could ride the next day. Later on my buddies tranny went out going up to the upper parking lot. Its a dodge, anyways Hinsons let us keep our trailer there. We also had another situation come up that I will not say what what it was, because we felt privileged that they would go so far out of their way for us. I know any other dealer in the valley would not do a fraction of the things Hinsons does for us. Great family owned and operated business.

rmk boxer,

They have the reflash as they did it to my sled and several others while we were there. What dates are you going to be in McCall? We are going back the 15th to the 21st.

They've been great to deal with over the years and have helped me out on many occasions. Wife broke the a arms on her sled and it was the start of our vacation. They didn't have any in stock but they pulled the ones off their demo sled and sold them to me at what I figure was cost sense they were used but still had to order new ones for the demo. They have done a lot to support snowmobiling in the area...

I was there talking to Jim when you called Wade. I also heard him say that. It's good to see they have turned things around.
