Hillaries plan to lower gas prices

When she gets in office she says she is going to lower gas prices, "immediately", by removing the federal tax. She is going to pay for that move by "taxing the profits" reported by "big oil, cause they can surely afford it".

What kind of message is that sending US businesses?? Okay, go out and make money, but not too much or we are going to tax you for making too much. Yes, they are making huge profits but I'm not so sure punishing them is the right thing to do??? I don't have a better answer....

Just some things I read while checking out a few things this morning.

The cost of refining crude oil from tar sands has dropped from $29.63 a barrel to $13.21 – and continues to fall as oil production ramps up.

Canada’s sands contain up to 2.5 trillion barrels of oil – that's more crude oil reserves than every OPEC country combined.

Maybe the federal government should stop subsidizing big oil when ALL of them are reporting RECORD BREAKING years?

I would be fine with that.
Big oil says that if the government does that they will go broke, WTF do you think citizens are doing paying these prices?

It's a joke, and they'll say they have no money for highway/road maintainence. Only way to lower price of fuel is to put a cap on the price paid for crude oil.

So would you be willing to end the subsidies for farmers given the cost of food today?

This stunt by Hildabeast is nothing more than pandering for votes.

EXACTLY!! Desperate times require desperate measures and it seems both Dem candidates are saying whatever they think their target audience wants to hear to get their vote. Then everything changes once they get elected.
They assume the typical voter is ignorant and sometimes I wonder if they are correct.
With a little luck all this "big talk" will make them look desperate and we'll get another Repubican pres.

Putting another windfall profit tax on the oil and gas industry is absolutley %100 the worst thing that they could possibly do.

Remember what happened in the 70's?

That's the stupidest idea ever. Let's weaken american companies while the foreign ones keep raping everyone just the same.

Here is the solution:
IRAQ:

Comprising 112 billion barrels (17,800,000,000 m³) of proven oil, Iraq ranks second in the world behind Saudi Arabia in the amount of Oil reserves; the United States Department of Energy estimates that up to 90% of the country remains unexplored. These regions could yield an additional 100 billion barrels (16,000,000,000 m³). Iraq's oil production costs are among the lowest in the world, but only about 2,000 oil wells have been drilled in Iraq, compared with about 1 million wells in Texas alone.

That is a bad idea!! WT heck is she thinking. The other option to remove the tax for holiday's is just as dumb just not as radical!! Why won't our politicians think this stuff through before they open their mouths.

Oh yeah, someone said it. Pandering!!!!

Correction: Alberta, not Canada. lol

Actually, That was MCcains idea first,He just didnt have a plan to pay for it. Its a bad Idea anyway..

She said that McCain had "similar" idea's but his plan doesn't include a way to pay for it, hers is a perfect plan because it keeps supplying funds for the highway's.

Lord help us....

The problem with this country is there is no longer real americans in power, If there was we would build a bunch of new refinieres right buy the biggest oil find and its In north dakota.!!!http://www.energyandcapital.com/aqx_p/5150?gclid=CL-xkd-zhZMCFQ0ePAodxX1H9A This is way better than On the coast or in the ocean, But than of coarse there friends cant rebuild it when the hurricane blows it over. If any of these candates want to get elected this is where they should start.

You can import 112 billion barrels of oil a day in to the U.S> and it won't change anything. We don't have enough refineries to process the oil. When was the last time we have built a refinery? I know in the last 3 years, at least 3 of them have exploded.
