When she gets in office she says she is going to lower gas prices, "immediately", by removing the federal tax. She is going to pay for that move by "taxing the profits" reported by "big oil, cause they can surely afford it".
What kind of message is that sending US businesses?? Okay, go out and make money, but not too much or we are going to tax you for making too much. Yes, they are making huge profits but I'm not so sure punishing them is the right thing to do??? I don't have a better answer....

The cost of refining crude oil from tar sands has dropped from $29.63 a barrel to $13.21 – and continues to fall as oil production ramps up.
Canada’s sands contain up to 2.5 trillion barrels of oil – that's more crude oil reserves than every OPEC country combined.
