High Uinta Ventures LLC

Look guys i can see alot of criticizm goes on around here, always has. But before you cut down the tree make sure its no inhabited first. Snowmobile rentals are just a small venture were experimenting with to see what kind of revenue can be generated in an area with a population of less than 50. I don't live in a big city, i can't stand them to be honest. So me and my family do alot of different things, sled rentals are just table scraps for the business plan, something we figured to give a shot this year.

Adam i sincerely appreciate your input bud, and yeah the website looks lame as all hell, but i was looking for a quick outlet while i design the one im paying for. As you know our business hasn't been established very long. By this time next year i may be able to afford to take out a mass lease on 50 or so sleds but to be honest i don't want to.. Were no out to get rich overnight.
We just want to be able to pay the bills every month so we aren't forced into selling the 30 acres. But thanks anyways Adam i've always appreciated your input.

Things take time to develop guys (except criticizm of course) and im hoping by this time a year or two from now we'll have the revenue for nicer and newer equipment. But for now, this is it. Thanks everyone for your 'kind' gestures and tips.

Dang a little harsh in here. It needs to snow soon! :D

Well said and good luck to you on your Business!:beer;

You can obviously do whatever you want and try whatever you want. But cutting through all the pokes and jabs what people are saying is that you aren't giving this a very good chance of success if you are renting 10 year old trail sleds. There are several people in the Salt Lake valley who do something similar... they have 2-4 sleds for their personal use that they 'rent' to people. But they are 1 or 2 year old sleds, not 10 year old sleds.

No one is saying you need to lease 50 sleds to make a go of it, but you need current, or nearly current, hardware to peak anyone's interest.

Yep dually noted. I understand the fact that needing newer sleds to capitalize on the rental industry but once again its out of my reach right now.. even trying to buy 2-4 yr old sleds is out of the question this year. I wish you guys would just come up and have a sit down with us so i can try to help everyone understand what were doing out here.. I dont want to step on no ones toes, i just want to pay me and my family's bills.

As far as interests go, im not going to be able to rent to anyone like the SnoWest crowd or even mildly experienced riders. were shooting for the ones who have no clue what sleds are about. Something a random family does just to do something different. Ive actually already got 5-6 reservations for the mid part of january and february and its only september?

we may not get rich quick over night fellas, but i wont starve my children this month..

great attitude:face-icon-small-coo

if you take the time and read more on this forum, its clear, most are sheep to flock when the horn sounds...fug em, get that paper:thumb:

I know i've been a member of the forum for awhile now and i've taken my fair share of jabs.. not much to get excited about anymore but its nice to see everyones view from all angles so I guess you could say I set myself up for it. Its nice to how many different types of riders there are out there. hope to meet some more out in the grind this year.

As a kid growing up in Oregon there was a logger who bought 8 sleds to rent that were quite old. No stickers, all scraped up, and maybe 300cc engines. Families around our area didn't care what they looked like or how big the engines were. The families who rented them, including mine, were excited as all heck to get to go snowmobiling! We had some great experiences out on the snow. Now days we all have these huge CC engines that we can top mountains and go thru the deepest powder. But back then, it was all about family time. Racing those 300cc sleds across the meadow at 50 MPH was sure one heck of a time. I applaud you for your endeavors. People will have a good time on your rental sleds, I just know it.

I go back to Oregon often to see family. That business the logger had has moved on to a big sled dealership and rents brand new sleds every year. He started small, and made it huge. Don't give up on your dreams, whatever they may be.

One simple thing that you could do with your website is make the background a solid color instead of the picture. The picture is nice but it makes the writting really hard to read in places.

Good Luck!! Brave people that start small businesses are what makes this economy work.
