This should hit every email inbox to show how stupid we have become!!

That's pretty close to true in most scenario's. I graduated HS in 1960. :eek:

I think back to around 5th grade, circa 1952, at show and tell time. Kids would bring a Japanese WWII sword to show, or a German Luger pistol, survival knife, or a rifle captured from the enemy during the war.

Many kids dad's were in the military either in WWII or Korea, and came by these souvenir's.

I also rmb'r kids bringing empty artillery shells, deactivated grenades, all for show and tell.

And this was in a Minneapolis,MN grade school I attended.

Imagine what would happen today!!

So sad, but so very true....Not quite that old, but did graduate in '79 and how the times have changed. Our sleds have changed for the better, but have we? And truth be told my new sled may be best piece of machinery that I've ever owned, but still can't match the fun I had on my 1969 sno-pony that my dad bought new for me in '69!!! Then came the 73' colts ss 340, WOW! Those were FUN times. My youngest just graduated high school this year how times have changed. Can't imagine what his kids will see and go through in school. :beer;

this is so true. i may have just graduated in 04 from high school but when i was a freshman back in the day if you lipped off to someone older you got pounded and you didtn do a thing after that. in todays world if a younger kid lips off and you set him straight your a$$ pretty much goes to jail. this is were our world goes wrong. moms and dads think their little johnny is a perfect angel but yet hes a little sh!t and needs a good boot up his a$$

i graduated last year and back when i was a freshman NO freshmen back talked the seniors....at all!!! if you did you get the **** beat out of you and the rest of your year was a living hell until they graduated. we had guns in our vehicles and our principle just told us to take them out when we got home.

fast forward to my Sr. year: one freshman was talkin **** to a couple of my buddies in the weight room....they smacked him around a little and the cops got called on him and their dad thretened to press charges. drug dog comes to school and finds ammunition in your truck....you get detention. its a bunch of bull **** now a days. sometimes i wish i had grown up in the 70's and 80's when you could acutally get away with stuff. oh and i went to school in a small town too. our whole highschool had about 140 people in it.

What will 2027 be like????:eek::rolleyes:

Turbans, cloaks and praying to Allah or working for the Chinese:mad::mad:

I graduated in 1992 and I remember WALKING through the school to clean the gopher gun during study hall. Then taking the gun after the bell rang and shooting gophers 100 yards from the school in the field out back.
