High pitch squeak - Chevy 4.3L???? Any ideas?

With the motor running spay some sort of lubricant on the belt and see if it goes away. Do not use belt dressing that stuff sucks, I found WD-40 to work just fine.

Jonce, I built a TBI 350 in a 4x4 S-10. Worked out REALLY well. If you have any questions, or want to see pics, let me know. Since you have a two wheel drive, and it's a 4.3, and TBI already, it should literally be a 27 beer job..... Pm me, and i'll fill ya in.

So I've been working on a fix that will inherently fix the hitch pitch squeak for good even though it was fixed with the $7 base gasket. I believe I will have new problems in the future - white smoke coming from the rear tires Hopefully I can start putting in the radiator support, radiator, dual puller fans, hook up the power steering/heater/ac hose, etc. Still waiting for my wiring harness to show up along with a couple -6AN fittings due to backorder.

I started with a '02 Chev 5.3L Avalanche engine 285hp/325 ft lbs trq

Cleaned it up a bit

Then I had to pull the 4.3L and 4L60e out

Engine is finally out

Mate the 5.3L with the 4L65e

First test fit, mark what needs "massaging"

Check header clearance

Notch frame for air conditioning compressor and bang a little on the cross member

Paint the frame and firewall

Finally bolted in

Check H3 Hummer Alpha oil pan clearance to crossmember - close fit

Had the same issue on a 94 Sonama and it's a cheap fix.It is in fact the Throttle Body gasket that is leaking.Does it sound like the Alternator packing in?High pitch sound.

I vote for this one. Its like the blade of grass between your fingers to make a squeal. Or maybe your flywheel is cracked or your tail light is pumping oil.
