High Compression Pistons

Can anyone answer the following questions:

- If you install high compression pistons in a FX Nytro MTX, what kind of "Real" Hp gain would you realize?
- What are the best type of pistons to buy?
- What type of potential concerns would be associated with high compression pistons, can you run them off of premium pump fuel without worrying about squeaking a piston?
- Do you re-program your computer after installation?
- I've also heard installation is very complicated, is this true?

Thanks.

By the time you are done putting high compression pistons, port and polish, header, intake and exhaust with programmers you could have put a turbo in. Not much point in just high compression pistons without the rest. IMO.

The problem is that it is quite expensive to do one of these motors n/a, I don't know about the nytro but if you took a apex and did it to R1 race spec, high compression, titanium rods, port polish big cams ect ect ect you would have a maybe 220+/- HP motor that you have to twist to 15,000 rpm to make the power, and maybe TWICE the $$$$ of what you will have in a nice 300 hp turbo.Oh and there is no way you are going to run it 2000 miles without a rebuild. And now you run into the problem with the primary not being able to take the rpm.
So IMHO its not a good idea.......;)
