High avalanche danger -> Mt. Hood area!

Avalanche danger applies to skiers only on Mt. Hood because snowmobiles cannot get near anything that resembles even an ant hill in the vicinity of the mountain. It is Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Adams is where the avalanche danger will be.

Well I would still use caution at Mount Hood if it's called for and I definitely agree you can't get nowhere near what you can basically see from Portland but I wouldn't rule out some of the small play areas being able to get too much snow and getting unsafe. I don't see why the wind couldn't blow an extremely sizable drift into any area then become unstable. But I'm no expert when someone says Hey keep an extra eye out it doesn't hurt.
