Hey were is all the Polaris guys the need turbos?

Kurt,

That sounds interesting... Beckstrom and Fischer make some nice turbo kits.

I'd like to see the specs on these two SPS dragons ... were they truly identical except for the Turbos?

Was Aero set up with the optimum sized turbo for the sled...was the Garret?

What Garrett and what Aero were used?

I have no doubt that the Garrets that most are using will out boost an Aero 53... I'd like to see the same comparison on a Aero 66.

I would like to know how, on identical sleds, 8 lbs of boost can "blow the doors off" of one running 11 lbs?

There is always more to learn in this world and I'm open to it all.

Do you have a link to the comparison video?

I'm sure that the HMS Turbo will RIP... let me know how that Dragon runs. Lance builds wicked sleds... I'm sure you'll be grinning

I don't kow how to transfer the links to this thread, but i searched SPS Racing on you tube, and it is the first one that comes up. Looks like July snow in the alpine

I would have to say the garretts 8 lbs. is much more efficient than the aeros 11 that would be the only way it would make more power. Which sounds like a better way to run a turbo setup, The more efficient the better the sled will run, and become more reliable in the long run aswell.

Aero-charger 66 vs garrett turbo

What about the weight difference between the two? I thought the Garrett install was heavier. I am thinking of installing a aero 66 on a 09 800 Dragon running straight race fuel. Any opinions or options on a better setup?

Just make sure you buy a kit from someone who has spent endless hours doing R&D. There will be questions after you have installed and ran. If you supplier hasn't encountered the same problem, they won't be able to solve your problem right away. If you are on the hill when you are making this call for support, it could ruin your day. Just my humble opinion

Efficency would be related to proper sizinig of compressor and Turbine combinations as well as overall capacity...

Which would lead me to wonder about proper selection of turbos in these particular installs...

If properly sized for an application, would an Aero be more efficient than an Auto turbo or vice-versa??

The last run in that video shows the sleds neck and neck

I'd like to hear the specifics on both of the sleds run in that vid?
[ chassis, track length, year, engine size, track type, track tension, clutching, rider weight, boost, fuel mapping] were they truly identical or different for the comparison? ... this is a sincere question and not a challenge to defend one setup over another.

Eric, you should call SPS and talk with their tech. I spoke with him for an hour before I purchased mine( Which was another brand ). I believe that the sleds were identical, though I cant remember the conversation word for word.

If you listen closley to the video ,,,you can hear one sled bogging badly coming out of the gate ,,, so one of them was tuned poorley!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here we go. Everybody has a turbo they like and what they think is the best. if you take two differmt turbo maps and two different turbos the effencency is diffent on both and one will do better than another some where in that graph.

The Aero works very well and We have R&Ded them a ton. My own personal sled is 2007 polaris with an aero. It works very good and has no problems.

If you want the cleanest install, no head aches, and the most bang for the buck you will by our kit. anyone who seen it at the show will say the same.

We also have an exchange program on the aero charger if one goes down on you. I can have a turbo sent back out to you with in 24 hrs.

So know i have taken all the problems out of the equation call us and split with the money that your wife was going to use to go shopping. We also take visa, master,am express so what is the problem!! Haha

Maybe after Nobama woops, I mean Obama takes office some of the non-turbo guys can get one through the "SPREADING THE WEALTH" program. Beacause every rider should be entitled to a turbo, Is this not fair?

Engine Life

Hey I'm new here and I have an 09 dragon and I was just wonderin what a turbo actually does to your engine life. Ive heard that running full boost you gotta rebuild it like every 500 miles. How accurate is that?

turbo!

That is pretty unaccurate there big guy!! You need to get your info straight!!:beer;:beer;:D

Why haven't we been getting any calls or interest on the dragon kits this year. I have 15 Kits sitting here ready to and not person in site wanting one. Weird!!! If you guys want one of the cleanest, Most reliable, Super neat kits on the market then Call us. www.turboboyz.net. Oh dont don't forget that we also do the custom builds. Maybe the Skidoo and Artic Cat guys just like Power?

maybe everyone noticed your sh!tty spelling and gramar and figured that if you can barely read and write, they don't want you f*cking up their machines.
