Hey RMK video makers

Cool video. Just the nature of Youtube that it isn't going to be as clear.

Some of the problem would be that it wasn't uploaded in HD. To get the 720p option on youtube it must be at least 1280 x 720 pixels. (Not sure if format is also a requirement?)

I recommend an .mp4 file using an x264 or H264 codec. They are both very powerful codecs that will retain maximum quality with minimal file size. Check if those are an option when you export your finished movie after editing.

Cool movie btw.

Good video! To all the people making and uploading videos to the internet. Process your video with a program such as Smoovee or something similar. It will remove a lot of the "shake" out of the final product and your video will look much more professional. I chose Smoovee as it is free and does a good job. There are other programs available as well. This work especially well for when someone zooms in way too tight or is using a helmet cam.

Hope this helps.

Just made my first video using 08imovie. Is it worth up grading to 11imovie?
Anyway this is the video I made. It is not as clear on YouTube as it is on my Mac. And I don't know why.

It is compressed when sized down for youtube. Try some different settings when sizing it down. I movie is still raw. What are you using for a camera? Is it compressed to fit on the camera or Raw DV format?

Yeah, I didn't notice that. You have to process it into a 1280 X 720 minimum size so that Youtube will give you the option to show it in 480 or 720 which will make it look better than what yours does, although yours doesn't look too bad even in 360p.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to wait until my kid gets home so he can explain these instructions to me. I have a GoPro, and Canon SX40HS. I am new to the computer world compared to most people. But I am learning!:face-icon-small-ton

Thanks for the Video!!! It makes me smile when all I see at home here is brown grass yet:face-icon-small-con Where was this shot at?? Looks like they had some good snow, all my buddies are itching to go again to the mountains, just have to wait for the right time and some fresh powder!!
