hey mcx nytro guys

what are you guys doing to fix the intake from icing in deep powder it flat out kills the performance on the turbo after a lot of playing in the trees and a couple hard pulls i cant pull over 6 pounds of boost real low rpms i brush off my intake and break the ice off and it runs great, just woundering what everyone is doing to fix this, real frustrating having to clean it all day

I have the same problem.

All I do is clean the intake off constantly, and if ice builds up chip it off or sit and wait for it to melt off. I would really like to get an exhaust that exits out the tunnel to get the heat away from the intake, I am sure it would stop the problem.

Who know of someone that is selling an under tunnel exhaust? Please let me know.

Thats what vernon motorsports has come up with im not sure if they are building it or if cr racing is making it

That snorkel wouldn't last long if you roll or catch it with your leg while throwing it over to sidehill. As long as under the tunnel doesnt bog in super deep powder, that would be the way to go I think.

Its made of radiator hose and very durable. It is in the snow everytime I turn hard to the left.

I am short 5'5", but suprisingly its doesnt get hit much.

The one issue is the prefilter is prone to get ripped by rogue tree branches. I carry spares.

I,ve had good success insulating the air box area with similar material as on the bottom of the gas tanks. Insulate bote sides of the seperator plate and behind the air filter, then put a much larger K&N prefilter on so the vibration can knock the snow off, or you can shake the filter. Once insulated it isn't warm enough to make ice.

is there enough room to put the exhaust out under a stock tunnel or does it have to be an aftermarket tunnel they have way more clearance. for the guys who have done it let me know who to talk to. we have lots and lots of fresh pow and we have more on the way so I would like to get this fixed before our next ride. Is cr the main people doing this?

If you have deleted the stock gay under tunnel cooler, the under tunnel will work, if not, there wont be enough room.

We've deleted the stock rad and the gay cooler, ive got 900 kms on my under tunnel and it works awesome. There's prolly 20 sled with the CR under tunnel on now a days, no complaints or issues from any customers. Also saves 10 lbs !

Got my kit on the way I was just curious did MCX get that new mapping out??? Also have they came up with a fix for this ice problem or know of it???

Mcx Nytro thought that was your sled saw the pics on vernon motorsports website so i thought i would share your sick ride

Since then I have put on the nextech res. for the floats. What a nice difference..can run lots of pressure and still get a soft ride Love it:D
