Here we go again Minnesnowta!

Winter storm and blizzard warnings all over the place. The central part of the state could see 15 inches. Where I am at, we will get 6-10 most likely. Man, this has been an awesome winter! It is a waste of snow as it will melt in 2 days but I can't help it, I love seein it! Minnesota peeps, post your snow totals tommorrow! later...........:beer;

:D Snowin' and blowin' like mad in the Brainerd area right now. Maybe we will get the dumping we have been waiting for all winter.

Right now, I'm tired and gonna go to bed, try to sleep while listening to the 35 MPH wind gusts rattle the patio furniture on the deck.
Updated report in the morning.

I know it really kind of blows when we get two of the biggest storms of the year for the state and all the trails are officially closed, plus every ditch and swamp area has 2' of standing water on top of the thin layer of ice.

It's always too much to late in the game.

No kidding, the swamps were startign to get soft and the lakes have got to be slush. I was gonna go up north and work on my sled and bum around the woods...but it's not worth driving through all this crap just to get out of the car and put up with crappy weather.:(

Friday morning snowfall update.

Well, looks like 9" t0 12" in the Brainerd area. Very heavy and high moisture content. All the tree branches are covred with snow , looks kinda pretty, but I'm concerned about the smaller Norway Pines the way they're loaded up and leaning over I'm afraid some tree trunks might break off.

Kinda looks like the trees on top of "Two-Top Mountain" outside of W. Yls, only this is heavy stuff, not "hoar frost."

I'm tempted to see if I can get a little ride on the 'ol '95 Indy 500 with the SLP skis and M-10.

Mother Nature is laughin at us, and I am laughin right with her. Nothin much else to do.
Where was all this snow a month ago. All this does is push the work season back farther, get the farmers complainin a little more ( i m one of them) and keep my lawn from dryin up. On a positive note, finished the mod up yesterday and can run it up and down the road this am to see what does and doesn't work

I was just about to go but I couldn't find anyone to put my tailgate up when I got my sled in the back of the truck so I had to take it all back out. That sucks!:face-icon-small-win

Maybe you should get a Toyota so we could have another 10 pages of discussion about that worthless topic.

Global warming??

I got 13" of Global Warming in my yard out of this storm. Heavy wet stuff. Lawn tractor w/blower attached couldn't handle it. Had to hire a neighbor with a JD2520 tractor to bust open a few tracks, then I did the rest with the Grizzly 700 and blade.
Power was out 2-1/2 hours yesterday morning too. Happens often enough around here. I started the 4KW Onan generator in the motorhome, just in case it would be needed. Didn't connect the house to it though , but exercising it didn't hurt anything.

We ended up with about 7 inches of global warming here. It is sunny and warm today, it's gonna go fast. We did try a little riding yesturday, it was'nt bad as long as you stayed in a straight line:(. Lots of mud and water..:mad:. Oh well, I gotta keep sayin to myself, "it is spring, let it go";) later.......
