I was up in Mantua the other day. The snow was super crusty with a thin layer of fluff on top of it.

With this new snow on top of the crust layer, there is no way that the new snow can adhere to the lower layers. Be very aware of this while you ride this week.

I believe that this current snowpack in No Utah is referred to as "upside down snow", hard stuff on top and powder/sugar underneath= huge, deadly slab avalanches.

we are a long way from out of the woods here. spring will be very dangerous. watch your backs!

Was out riding yesterday and noticed a few natural slides and sluff offs. Be wise.

soft slabs from the new storm... most came down naturally, if it didnt, you will probably cause it to come down... Just be smart!

Had fairly high winds here in Montana. Not sure about there. But if so, loading will be a BIG problem!
