i have a new air wave m10 with cr162 inch rails . my issue is when im adjusting the track tension(in the air ). i set the tesion at 1 1/3 inch with 20 pounds of down force. then when i set the skid down on the ground with my air shocks empty the track gets super tight around 1/2 way through the cycle. it seem like this could cause issues with wearing out jack shaft bearings and just hard on the sled . what am i doing wrong ?
 
put air back in the shocks. your talking about if the shocks are empty and the suspention kinda cams over and is stuck down?? If thats the case it will never happen with air in the shocks. I have the same thing with cr 174 rails no problems with mine
 
its not over caming that has me worried . its that even with the shocks right out the skid is still hard to push down due to the track tension being too great with around 9 inch between the upper rear mount and the bump stops on the rails . it is also very noticeable while riding on a bumpy trail or jumping
 
I run mine a lot looser than that. if I pick up the sled the track will hang about 1.5in below the rails with just the weight of the track. Its on a nytro with a turbo, and avid anti ratchet drivers.
 
I had the same problem with my M10 W2 (live rear axle) setup/installed by vanamburg in his tunnel. If I didnt have the track WAY loose the skid wouldnt wanna compress due to the track tightening! Would not transfer! Everyone said it was installed wrong, but Zbroz, CMX, VE, and everyother M10 guru that gave me measurements all gave me the same thing as it was installed in the tunnel? Finally sold it for about 10 cents on the dollar and moved on, never agin will I waste 3 grand on an M10!



Ask vanamburg why he doesnt do M10's in his tunnels! 5 grand for a CRm10 that works, sorry to much on a skid for me!
