HELP WITH 700 OVERHEAT??

I posed this same question at the end of last season but didnt get much feedback. 2000 rmk 700 liberty starts and runs fine untill it heats up then dies and will not re-start untill cooled down. When we first looked at it last season it was empty of coolent. Like it had boiled over or burned it but, with no obvious signs of burning coolent we're stumped.
Coolent has been filled and has remained full but still continues to overheat and shut down?? Thermostat? Any clues on why this thing is shutting down is appreciated as we're looking to ride new years:clock:

What have you done as far as troubleshooting when it dies? If there is no spark when it heats up then I would suspect a stator problem.

Yes, there is no spark after it dies. What would cause the stator to work then not work? This is my brother in-laws sled
and he is working in the mtns so he's not able to do any repair until thursday. Im trying to resolve the issue by then:face-icon-small-win
