help with 03 800 rev

i just bot a 03 rev 800 with 3000 miles all seems to be stock except for the new 136" kit and 1 3/4. i live in maine and will just be my trail sled mabe breakn trail in 12" of powder but no extreme hill climbs and deep stuff. was wondering what gearing woould be best and a "clutch kit" or various parts. ive never owned a ski doo before and just sold my 03 snow pro f7. is there anything to keep an eye on on, thanks

Stock gearing 19:45 should be about right for that sled and your area.

Not sure about clutch kits but I'd go with a straight 44 helix and purple spring in the rear secondary (which should be stock) and all stock primary except a 160/260 primary spring works very well with it. Then adjust your pin weight according to altitude. Wouldn't hurt to replace your secondary spring with a new one though.

With 3000 miles, you might check the compression. Sounds like a solid sled. Welcome to Ski-doo.

with the sled being converted to a 136 just keep an eye on how hot it gets when your on the trail....some people have had problems with over heating after the 136 conversion...the reason why is cause the 03 had a short rear cooler where in 04 it was a bit longer....so you might want to invest in a T-stat delete kit and some ice scratchers if your in 12" or under of snow...

Also for a clutch kit get ahold of Dynamo Joe or Big John they can send you a kit and tell you exactly what you need for your elevation and your riding style...

Good luck and welcome to the DOO family...

they added an extra heat exchange in the etension and also a realy nice digital temp guage. i talked to big john and i gotta tear into it and let him know what i have now for parts. thanks
