help: Starboard sidehill rich bog....

I have developed a significant problem without a solution (or known cause). When climbing sidehill to starboard i get a rich bog that stalls out the motor after 100' or so of hard pull. No problem to port, but the entire engine is running very rich at much lower altitude than ever before and I'm using a ton of gas. I can't find the source. Nothing has changed on the motor in long time. Inspection shows really nice clean carbs without any visible problems. Can someone save me re-inventing the wheel? Thanks

main jets proper.....float valve or float issues..??..choke or choke like issues...mice or squirrels nest in pipe....do you have reeds..if so possible issues..and generally an issue sidehilling one side starboard is exhaust backpressure from snow restriction so a plate in frt of outlet is often a cure

Good thoughts on the exhaust being impeded by snow on starboard side. As to mains, they are the same jets for years with great performance 2,000 ft higher than I am having problems at right now. And fuel consumption is now horrible. Floats look great but I don't know if they can be eyeballed????

choke cable issues..or adjustment having choke partly on..???...any fuel in crankcase when sitting is float needle valve and or float chamber cracked and not bouyant (you can try and submerge floats to test for bouyancy..and shake for fuel inside..)which sometimes doesn;t create a huge issue sitting as the pump aint pumping but can really cause huge fuel usage when started cause she is pumping and extremely poor performance...blubbering etc..

you could hook up a fuel source gravity feed to the carbs intact and if she drains the source you know its a float issue...or take off flat bowl and just blow in the fuel supply line to the carb while lifting the float and she should stop when float roughly parallel to carb base that float bowl seats on

This is just the standard cat 1m chassis right side bog. The cure is to build a guard for the exhaust exit. Make sure the pipe joints are sealed good so you arn't getting exhaust in the intake. Cover up the air intake port on the exhaust side.

Something like this works

Mine doesnt get the right side bog and this is what my snow deflector looks like. I also have a snorkel type intake through the hole where the speedo used to sit. Some say that helps as well. Always sucking in fresh, cold air into the engine.
