HELP! Ski's Dive While Boondocking.

I've been having some difficulty dialing the suspension on my 2012 Pro RMK 162 with no modifications.

Ski's are set in the middle and seem to want to cut into the snow and dig down before popping back up. Very unusual feeling compared to my 09 M8 162. Seems I have to stand back farther so they don't want to dig in while boondocking, even in meadows. Even then, that only seems to help a little.

I have checked the threads. I know this isn't a common problem, so it must be my setup.

I have just under an inch of threads showing on the front skid shock and the rear is set for my weight maybe a little under, ski shocks are set fairly loose.

I'm stumped..........:face-icon-small-con

my setup is close to yours..except I have about 3 threads showing under the frt track shock spring adjuster....I would back it off to 3 threads, then slowly tighten till you get the ride you want...
 
What's the standard thought process on the Assault skid being mounted in that lower hole? Why do they do this, and do most change it to the Pro RMK hole?

With the front torque arm mounted in the lower hole it will act far better bombing down a washboard trail. Take big air hits and lands far better. In other words, do all the things the assualt was designed to do. However, since most folks that bought assaults, are really more of an rmk rider when it comes to style, With that front torque arm mounted in the upper hole, the sled will climb up on top of the powder snow much much easier, trench less, and act like a mtn sled. Be honest about which means more to you, and set the torque arm on the correct hole.
 
Ski bushings might be part of our problem. I've noticed my skis tips diving in the snow badly with more miles on the sled.

Pick up the front of your sled and watch the skis point towards the ground.

We went riding on Saturday and noticed the same thing. We had a 2012 Pro 155, 2011 Assault 155 and a 2010 M8. You could tell the difference when jumping back and forth between the Pro and the M8. Both the Assault (front torque arm mounted in the top hole) and the Pro felt similar. It seems that the Pro chassis has more ski pressure than the Cat. The cat would push more when turning on the trail but would not dive as bad when boon-docking. I found that on the Pro chassis when pulling on its side i had to place my foot a little further back on the running board and it did not dive as much.
Set up wise you would need to relieve ski pressure if you wanted to fix the problem.
