Guys, I could use some advice. Maybe some of you have done something like this from scratch before?
I am trying to bolt up a Nytro MTX skid under a 97 Mountain Max 700. It sounds easy enough but, the MM skid had three mounting points (one in front of the footwells, one about mid tunnel, one at the rear drop down bracket). The Nytro skid has two skid mount points.
I did put a M7 skid under my RX-1 but I used the stock front bolt holes and I just had to make some rear drop down brackets.
So how do I determine where to mount the skid?
How low below the tunnel on the drop down bracketes should the holes for the rear of the skid be?
I'm sure I'll figure it out but, I thought maybe there is an easy way to figure this out before I end up going to a trial and error method.
Thank you in advance for any advice you are able to provide.
