Help..Need Opinion on 1989 Phazer sled

Was getting ready to purchase a Phazer from a guy who had it listed as a 1993 for 1000.00 bucks and in great shape...electric start, newer shocks....
However, he called me about the misprint and it is actually a 1989...
Is this a big deal or not, were they that much different

i wouldn't spend $1000 on a phazer, there a good sled for kids there all just about the same from 84 to 94 i have an 1984 480se phazer for $550 and it runs great and an extra rebuilt 480 motor bored to 502 it just needs a crank bearing for $250

The '93 has a better clutch than the '89 IMO.
