Help me out-Sled Deck vs. Enclosed Trailer

I built my own deck, mounted in a mega cab dodge. It does keep the sleds clean, there is enough storage for 3-4 peoples worth of gear under the deck if packed correctly. I live in IL and drove to the snowies in the begining of january roads were icey at times, also very windy on the way back. The added weight is awsome for handling on icey roads, and the truck did not sway that bad in the wind, gusts were up to 50 mph. A enclose trailer sways in the wind and also has a bad habit of trying to pass you on icey roads. The other thing that I like is that I could hook up to a four place if I needed to and haul six sleds. Some long bed trucks could hook up to a enclosed with a deck on and two sleds on the deck. Both have there strong points, it comes down to personal preferance.

I'd love a deck, but I'd never put one on a shortbox truck. I can't believe people get away with it. LEO around here would have you locked up before you put 10 miles on the odometer.

I'm curious as to why you wouldn't put one on a short box. Not to mention why the LEO would have a hissy fit?
