help me out guys, team clutch question

new owner to a used 14 pro rmk, came off of a rev, and this sled is a blast to ride, one question I have, Is there something wrong with my team secondary why does the belt not run true all the way around? my belt is a good 1/4 below the sheaves on the bottom and a good 1/4 above on top, I set it up to where it barely turns the track at idle, doesn't seem to have an effect on riding just at standstill it bothers me.

Take it off and see if helix bolts are tightened properly otherwise gonna wear out the bushings.

That's not right, or normal. Either sheeve/shaft damage, bushing, helix damage or install, or rollers. Unless it straightens out when it opens, you gotta be leaving performance on the table, too.

Do yourself a favor and pull it off (watch for spacers on both the bolt for float and behind the secondary for offset, in case you're not aware) and inspect. Remove the helix, split the halves. You'll need a spring compressor to split it after you pull the helix. Don't know how familiar you are with the team. If you're not, either dealer or a friend with the tools, pretty easy to do it yourself once you're setup.

I suppose I should be more specific with my response. If you have a belt that is too short, it'll hang up at the bottom of the secondary sheaves, just as you have pictured. Check the make and model of the belt to see if it is correct. My bet is that you need a different belt.

Did you shut it off after you backed it up or had it in reverse then took the picture. It will slightly spread the sheeves until it locks in the reverse notch of the helix and will look like that.

I took your advise and took the clutch apart, it looks like it was in self destruct mode, the shim was almost completely out and the seat it sits in was getting all chewed up. Picked a complete clutch up from a guy in town that's parting his out installed it and its smooth as butter, thanks alot.

NP. Looks like the bushing was fubar'ed. Good to hear you caught it before she locked up tight on a ride.
