MONSTER STICKER, surprised that hasn't been mentioned yet, along with the aforementioned flat brimmed ball cap, and of course some baggy ski clothes.
How about the people here on SW with the huge hero worship clubs that respond to thier every post.
Something along the lines of "I had hot dogs for lunch today, pics attached" and the resultant:
- "that is a really sick mod dog", "include pics of the build of that wicked dog", "I can't wait to build and eat dogs with you in Halfway this year" (oh no I really wrote that), ETC. till the thread is five pages long.
Seriously though, I vote for the bad *** local guys around here that ride into the backcountry at night to bring food, gas, shelter, etc to a group that has some problems and ends up camping out. The groups who get together to go rescue broken sleds and cold tired brothers and sisters twenty miles in.
All the people who you will never know from a video or the XGames, but you sure want to know when things go bad. We got those types around here, some are old and some are young, and they all know thier business in the backcountry, yep, they get my vote. And none of these guys are on search and rescue, they just take care of thier backyard. Teton, Swan, and Star Valley riders are some of the best around.
