help me decide on a new sled

I was wondering the same thing. Don't let it get you down. The bad rep button is a way for people, who don't know anything, to contribute.

they need to remove that feature, it drives me crazy. i like the thank you button though. anyways i enede up staying with the rmk's. 155 pro 800 in black with orange panels.

Why would anyone NOT get the 4 year warranty at snow check? I guess maybe you didn't snow check? I think it's $400 for the 4 year at snow check. My dealer made a mistake when he put my order and Polaris just sent me an offer to extend my warranty. It was over $1000 for 3 years. My dealer jumped right on Polaris and got it fixed. The piece of mind of that 4 year is priceless. along with the $150 I pay for insurance pretty much the worst thing that can happen to my sled is only $500 to me.

I decided on the Pro 6 for the g/f and kids / backup sled.. Figured let them get used to the chassis on a lil less power first, then get the 8 in a year or two..
That and I just think that 6 is gonna be a real fun ripper !! :face-icon-small-ton

tbeaton, I was in the same boat. I wasn't sure if I should get a 13' Pro or '13 XM to go with my '11 Pro. I think there is a lot to say about having Polaris belts, plugs, extra parts, weights, clutches, pullers, etc. Plus, Doo screwed up by not having earlier demos because of bad weather here. So I stuck with what I know and like. I bought another Pro.

i didn't snocheck my 12, thats why i did not get the warranty on it. i snochecked the 13 so i will get the warranty.

i didn't buy the doo for a few reasons.

1) i love my pro.
2) i didn't love my xp's.
3) i'm not sure about the rear suspension.
4) guys that rode the pro and demo'd the xm said its better than the xp and a step in the right direction, but i didn't hear anyone say it was the best sled they have ever ridden.
5) its still an xp no matter how you slice it.

go with the 13 pc8 sno pro, pro rmk = junk.

not in my book, and i already ordered another rmk.

i forgot the other reason why i didn't go xm, the doo reps at the snodeo in Nh wouldn't let me ride the model in the tent. i asked, they said no so i told them i guess i will not be buying one this year, told them i was goign to buy another polaris, they were speachless.

could have been my buddies sled or just the end of season riding. but his grippers got twisted and he was going through runners every two rides. has anyone experienced this with theirs. its making me think about going with SLP instead of factory skis. It was shaped like a upside down question mark in like 100km.

No experience with twisted grippers here, haven't heard of it before. Defective, structurally damaged, warranty?

My solution to the problem, leave the women home! :)

lol, i like that she rides, it allows me to ride more, but its alot more money as i need 2 sleds, gear, gas, insurance, etc.. i'm on the fence, sometimes i wish i never introduced her to it, other days i enjoy it. take right now for example, i want a dirt bike but owning 2 sleds, i'm not in a possition to go get one.
