Help me buy Quick Clickers

I have the original blue anodized quick clickers with 1000 mile on an 09 XP. Not one problem so far. I love them! Have not tried any others so no bashing from me wouldn't do it anyways.

Please tell my what your opinions are, on brands of quick clickers.
I'm clueless, I started shopping but just don't know the differences.
Searching here did me no good.

I'm riding a '04 Summit w/ 144 track

I was bogging down in the deep pow this weekend.

Thanks in advance

I only recommend the nut replacements so you still use the oem calibration screw.
I have had problems in the past with customers who've run my kit and had trouble dialing in. After a certain process of grief changing parts, shipping costs, having poor results, money out of MY POCKET!!!!....
I ended up asking the owner "Was there anything else changed with the kit?" "well I also bought these quick clickers" - The clicker that was the complete shaft was the culprit. 1 phased wrong, others were not even cam shape, just round so when you did change the position of the screw, the ramp stayed in the same position (poor quality control) One customer the index mark were pointed at the corner of the hex head -ok what position is that now?

After re-installing the original screws, the kit was returned to the original calibration and dialed in within a short time. My faves are the clicker nut replacements.

My dealer uses the original Quick Clicker syle (like Joe likes), but he spins the original clciker bolt in the lathe and turns down the head of the clicker so it is half the original thickness....then the Quick Clicker nut replacement has more threads to grab.

Thanks for the replys and suggestions so far.

One more question.

The brands that have the replacement bolts,
are they easy to just remove the old bolt with out the tra (?) coming apart?
I'm very novice about the mechanics of the clutch

You probably need to pull your clutch and clean it anyways.

why not just loosen the bolt, and turn the head to which ever number you need it on. why is it so tough to do that?

i heard they run best on 7...
These are very fast to change .I have witnessed several guys change clicker numbers without shuting off the motor! Now thats fast!

I genuinely apologise to the fellow I was responding to on this thread, he probably bought on of our first builds in which we didnt have the revised instructions for proper installation. We wish customers would just call us when they have troubles instead of bashing our products, they would be happier in the end.
FOR THE RECORD
We recommend that the person installing the Quick Clickers remove the stock locking nuts and clean the threads thoroughly.
Then, install the Quick Clickers by screwing on three (3) full turns from the start of thread engagement and then set the set screws using only the supplied t-handle allen wrench so there is not a chance of overtorque(you will note the Quick Clickers come with red gel threadlocker already in the threads)
Then, depress each Quick Clicker body into the clutch housing fully and using a 13mm end wrench, turn the stock clicker bolt head back and forth in an ever increasing ocillation until the top of the cast aluminum pocket is effectively chamfered enough to allow the stock clicker bolt to be turned freely without catching. Do the same to the other two and youre set and ready to go with three good threads for the Quick Clickers to hold on to.
We dont recommend grinding or machining the stock clicker bolt heads down to increase clearance as this method, when not performed correctly, will adversely affect the critical balance of the clutch. (This will ultimately lead to a slightly larger exit hole in your side panel than the misinstalled Quick Clicker left.)
We hope this helps.
Thanks to all of our loyal customers and have a great spring!
Sincerely,
Travis Cook,

I bought "between the lines" brand.

I have a new question....

The first one went on and adjusts very smoothly,
the second and third both need to be tapped on to get loose, and to get back into place.
The adjuser bolts seem like they have a bur on them.

Any advise?
I assume a clutch cleaning is in order.

Yes, sometimes the bolt will need to be "pushed" back into place, remember the ramp is tight against the cam portion of the adjuster bolt so when clicking to a higher number it will require force.....lower numbers typically go easier. Has nothing to do with the quick clickers though, just the nature of the clutch design. :beer;

marty-
did you read travis's post just above yours? follow those directions and everything should adjust pretty smoothly.
btw, i ran the "original" quick clickers on my '05 REV for two seasons - no problems at all. put a set on my '08 XP when i picked it up, close to 2000 miles now with no problems. love the adjustability. know lots of ridin buds who run them as well, no problems. id bet an overwhelming majority of those with "problems" are directly related to poor installation, but none of us ever wants to admit THAT, right??:o
ps: where in utah are u?

WOOPs, i didn't read it close enough, I skimmed over it one day, but that was before I installed the clickers.
It didn't relate, before I put them on, now that I re read it, I can relate.
Thanks for the heads up (myA$$):face-icon-small-con
