Please tell my what your opinions are, on brands of quick clickers.
I'm clueless, I started shopping but just don't know the differences.
Searching here did me no good.

I'm riding a '04 Summit w/ 144 track

I was bogging down in the deep pow this weekend.

Thanks in advance

Western Power Sports sells some which we installed on a 09 which are Blue Anodized and you use stock bolts, They are junk and only get two threads onto the bolt.,The ones I purchased from starting line came with longer bolt and works well

Cudney Racing - search the internet and then call Bill. He makes them with the longer bolt so that you can thread it all the way on..... Best ones I have used. Lots of guys on here sell them as well, but get the longer bolt ones, accept none other.

Uh, changing your clickers in a couple of minutes versus a max of 10 minutes.

Click, Click, Click is all it takes.

Some people just dont read directions!
The Quick Clickers are not junk, you just didnt follow directions included in the package to install them.
Somehow we have sold over 16,000 "junk" products to satisfied customers. Go figure.
Thanks alot for the great recommendation, "buddy"!

i have the clickers trinity traz sells, and love them 3000+miles ,be generous with the red loctite and you will never have a problem...great product

Yes we read your instructions. Quick Clickers kit does not provide longer bolts to allow the nut to thread on,{Much cheaper to produce} We measured several times and 2 to 3 threads were all that held these on. Other kits provide the longer bolt for a reason!I will not run these and anyone who takes note when they install will get worried as well. This kit is a joke[A cheap attempt to copy the others which work.}Anyone reading this post with these, Mark with felt pen and unscrew the nut, Then tell us how many turns before the nut fell off?

Now thats the correct answer! You win a truckload of snow...

Never had any problems with my quick clickers. The set screw is there for a reason and properly installed they work great. Only 2-3 threads do the holding on a nut anyways no matter how long the bolt.

For those of you that do not have them I bet some of you don't use your clickers much. For some you might not need to if you do not ride in varied elevations. Too high or low in RPM creates excessive heat and results in premature belt failure. Track speed also suffers if you are not in the correct clicker.

Thanks for the replys and suggestions so far.

One more question.

The brands that have the replacement bolts,
are they easy to just remove the old bolt with out the tra (?) coming apart?
I'm very novice about the mechanics of the clutch

No! Be carefull pulling out the bolt ther is a washer inside that can fall in. make sure your bolt is vertical when pulling it out in a way in that you are looking down at the numbers on the bolt head. after you pull the first one look inside the hole and you'll see what i meen. Good luck too ya:beer;:beer;:beer;

Yep - what he said ^^^ or you can take the clutch off and remove them, clean everything, and then you won't miss them. Not a big deal to do it on the sled, just make sure that you don't drop the washers. They are really easy to replace To adjust: adjust the spring tension on them so that you can just push the hex head out of its recess, then turn and let it drop back in on the # you want (may need a 13mm wrench or allen key if your ramps are tight). I used blue loctite on the nuts just to be sure, but I have about 3/16" of thread sticking out past the end of the nut as well.

A good trick is to take the nut off, and as you pull the old bolt out, push something in the hole (like another bolt of the same diameter :D) through from the other side, this will hold the washers in place and not allow them to drop. Then, when you put the new bolt in, you just push the "replacement" bolt back out the other side. Voila!

Be careful when you slander someone on here cause someone will always prove you wrong. Like the fact that Trinity here was the 1st to come out with the Quick Clickers and HIS idea has been copied. He has the patent and has proved it so don't bother arguing with that one.

I agree that it seems a little shaky only using 2-3 threads but I know a few guys running them and as long as you follow the directions and use the red locktite you won't have any issues.
Personally I like the idea of the allen wrench tool that comes with it cause mine are hard to push out and can be tuff to turn going up.

I've got a set of Cudneys kicking around that I'll give away. The cam on mine is not uniform i.e. you get clicker 2,4,5 as compared to stock clickers 1-6. Pretty easy to tell, when you service the clutch just turn to a clicker with either one then insert the other to see how it matches up. Not bashing, Cudney does good work, just saying what the ones that I have are like. Maybe we got a bad run? Me and 2 buddies all ordered a set of Cudneys and we're all running Quick Clickers now.

Be careful how the quick clickers are installed, I know of one guy that had one come off and blow a hole through a side panel on an xp! He took the rest off. The Quick Clicker was never seen again so it couldn't be inspected.

Its another day now and perhaps I should take note of Graham,s daplomacy.Good job!.I will rephrase my opinion on the Quick Clickers. The concept is exceptional. I prefer the confidence of knowing that at least 6 threads will secure the nut to the bolt since it rotates at over 8000 rpm and has considerable vibration. all the manufactures designs do work. This initial post was to discuss which clickers were most prefered, and to get back to the topic I prefer a kit with supplied longer bolt.We all need to appreciate the aftermarket components as they are here to enhance our sleds performance. Constructive comments are much more useful to viewers.
