I need a LH Lower A Arm for my 2005 RMK 900. There are aftermarket arms available for a decent price but they say 06 and up. Is it just color difference or is there somthing else. They are definately different part numbers from Polaris but do look the same on the parts diagrams. I need to get one ordered so any help would be appreciated!!

Thanks!!

they are different lengths. You have to switch both of them if you go with newer ones.

I thought all the lowers were the same from 05 - 10 on all RMK's.

Or was it 06 - 10?

Only difference started in 09 with the different swaybar attach point.

Lowers are same from 06 -10. The 05 is a different length. Kreg had one of each on his sled and it is very noticeable.

Z... is it the lowers or the uppers?

Both the uppers and lowers are different on the 05. When the 06 came out everyone was recommending switching out both the A-Arms and the spindles on the 05's for better steering and handling.

a arm

I just ended up tig-welding a cap around the bad spot. The arm was dented in bad from the bottom (wish I would have taken a picture of it before). I cut a piece of flat 10 gauge steel, tacked it on the top of the arm and rolled it around the arm tubing to the bottom welding around as I rolled it. Aside from looking a little ugly it's very strong and should serve until I can find a used 2005 stock arm. I'm not gonna buy a new one!

Z is correct. The lengths of the 05 upper and lower a-arms are just slightly different lengths than 06 and newer. They will interchange only as a set with the radius rods. Been there done that.

The difference is very, very small. The later spindles will help with geometry chnages but a-arms on 05's don't have to be replaced to for better steering and handling.
