Help identify metal bits in chaincase?

Pulled the chaincase dip stick today (06 800 144 summit) and found these two metal bits and not much other debris. My first thought was chain but after pulling it and looking closely I couldn't nor could the dealer find a missing piece. Any other thoughts. Gears look good. Some sort of washer? Previous owner had never had anything done to the chain case little over 1000 miles on sled. TB

Those are pieces of your chain. I had three chains replaced on my 06 under warranty. Found chain pieces exactly like those each and every time. Upgrade to 3/4" HYVO from TEAM and never worry about it again.

spare parts... just run it till it snaps some people are a little cautious on here if you are lke them just pack a 10 mm socket a chain and what ever the bottom gear is a 13 or 14mm i believe.

I made a mark on the chain, went around and counted links in each section inside and out I really can't see where it would have come off the chain. Nothing else in there that would look like that?

Inner link, those chains are many links thick, it is definetly a piece of chain link. May never notice a problem, 1000 miles and never had the chaincase cover off? Pretty much means that the oil was never changed after the inital break-in either.

Chain for sure. Those '06's sure had issues with the chains breaking, my buddy went through 3 of them. Alignment was good, tension was always maintained etc....must have been offloaded to the lowest bidder in '06?
I would replace the gears and chain with a Team Ind. HYVO settup, similar price and stronger.

If you switch to HYVO you NEED to replace the gears as well. The chains don't look that much diff, but they are.

While I am sure that HYVO's have failed out there somewhere, but it's rare.
