Help, found loose ½" locking nut in belly pan, M8 2010

Found a loose ½" locking nut in right side of belly pan of my 2010 M8 LE, it was lying in the "pit" below the brake disc.

The nut has a purple plastic "locking insert", it seems to be the same dimension as the engine mount nuts.

Are there 4 engine mounts? I saw 3 engine mounts on left side and 1 on right side, none of them were missing a nut.
Also the 2 nuts holding the steel plate in front of the steering post seemed to be the same dimension but they were also in place...

Would appreciate any help to find where it has come loose, doesn't feel good driving it now with that kind of heavy/important bolt loose..

Thanks

Thanks, checked the two A-arm nuts that are inside the belly pan but they were where they should be...

More suggestions?

Yes it is the same dimension locking nut but those two nuts are in place.
(I guess you mean the ones holding the steel plate in front of the steering post, between the steering post and the engine bay, pretty high up)

If they drop a nut at the factory, thye don't take the time to fish it out. Could be just one the dropped.

It uses a half inch wrench (if I am not wrong, the bolt is 1/4"..? 6,4mm)

Ok, well it uses 1/2" wrench.

I looked a bit closer on the nut and I wonder if it isn't new after all, I can't see any thread marks in the "plastic locking insert" in the nut..

The 5/16 lock nuts are used throughout the mseries. the drive system, dd and rotor side are 5/16. the motor mounts also use 5/16s. if you can check all these area and the nut looks new, locker isnt used i would say its just a dropped part from the factory

check the chassis ground on the right side of the sled its under the coolant bottle on the upper bolt the holds the steering support

Hi,
What do you mean with "rotor side"?
