Help for guys that may have broken reed Pro 800

Started out with a burp once and a while then got worse. Sure enough pulled apart and found a broken reed. I would be riding in trees on/off of throttle then hit the throttle wide open and it would burp then clean out. Just some help for anyone having similar problem.

You post they run flawless....Then post you broke a reed....:face-icon-small-con

Hopefully once you get new reeds it runs awesome again :face-icon-small-hap

Thanks for the heads up! Is there any reeds that wil hold up better on a turbo sled?

Boston, you sure seem to follow the BD threads pretty close. And you seem to be pretty quick to respond about the bad things about them. Whats the problem with BD? We all know you're a dealer for silber and that's great, as justin has an excellent product out.

Both Silber and BD have excellent products out for the pro this year, but all your negative attitude towards BD is getting to me.

Sometimes parts fail...after previously running well. Seems like a pretty logical concept to comprehend. Kind of like a new drive belt working well, but failing after a 1000 or 2000 miles. Ignorant comment on your part....

I believe Boston Racing is a dealer for both BD and Silber. And at 10:43 CMX posts running flawless then at 10:57 he posts sled burps in the trees and a broken reed found. I am sure it was just a question to the two posts. Parts do fail, just not likley that they failed in the 14 minutes between posts. Lighten up guys geeze, I guess we all need some snow

Double the stockers and be done with it. Also, watch for that lean/dead spot at valve opening......

For the yappers in the Forums against Boonedocker turbos I'm saying these two new upgrades work flawless!!!!!!!!!!! For guys who may need some help and blame the BD turbo's for there problems check your reeds we had a sled break one before and fixed it during upgrade.

I had dropped a reed pedal last year, now with the upgrade the charge temps are much cooler and reeds are lubricated with the aux injectors. Seems to have taken care of problem. Reeds have always been a weak point on turbo sleds IMO. On a side note when I installed my upgrade I also installed some reed stops from Shane at HM, they seem to work well.

I wasnt knocking any kit. I can sell anybody here a BD kit if they are interested. I only made a comment because the 2 post were in order:face-icon-small-hap

You have to admit its funny...

I challenge anybody to find negative posts about BD from me......... I own a BD kit (modified) and a Silber.

Dont get your panties into a bunch fellas. I spent the day on the snow.............Riding my turbo.

Maybe I should check my reeds as well?

My sled started with a burp or too, I attributed that to my clutch weight.
Symptoms have gotten worse, hitting rev limiter and then the last day in Tog, DET came on. Changing my throttle cable, adjusting the TPS and I will look at the reeds to. By no means, is any of this attributed to the BD turbo kit. I just assume that's wear and tear on a sled with 880 miles.:face-icon-small-win
