Help finding lost riders in Snowies for Dec 6

Snowy Mtn Range

*********RIDERS FOUND.... CANCEL THIS REQUEST*******

********ALBANY GROUP IS STILL MISSING HOWEVER>>>

A buddy and his partner were seperated from their group near Silver Lake just off 130. This was the last place they were seen. They are riding a Polaris pro and mtn cat 1000. We will be leaving the Centenial side parking area around 8am to continue our search for them. We would appriciate anyone riding the area to keep their eyes open and maybe ride this area too if possible. If you would like to hook up with us we will be departing form a red truck and trailer decaled with FOSS EXTERIORS. Thanks for any help. --Mark 612-227-6306

Mark,

Is this part of the search that has been on going since Saturday evening or a new group lost?

My question exactly, I'm heading out in the morning to meet up with the sheriffs office meeting at Albany Lodge to find 2 missing riders, are these the same guys?

Seperate group lost on west side, sounds like Carbon County S&R is on it!

RIDERS FOUND.

This was a seperate group from the Albany group. They were stuck down in a creek bottom. All is fine with them.
Our prayers still go out to the Albany group as we will keep an eye open for them.

glad one group was found. Anyone know the latest on the Albany group?

We rode out of Centennial yesterday. Spoke with the Sheriff who was giving out details to everyone riding out of Greenrock. When we left, word was that the Albany 2 were still missing, but they had received a partial cell contact (not sure what that entailed) yesterday morning, meaning they were still ok. They had a fire through the night on the 4th, so hopefully they were able to have one last night.

Information from the S&R: The riders made a phone call the afternoon of the 4th stating they were lost and thought they were on/near "T" trail, but were low on fuel and disoriented. They aren't familiar with Snowies area, but were exploring. No information on any injuries, sounds like they just got turned around and now low on fuel.

Hope everything turns out ok!!

Just returned from Albany.
The lost riders were found about 10:30 this morning. Looked and seemed to be in good shape for having spent two nights out.

I hope it gets better once the trails are marked, if this is any indication of whats to come this year, search and rescue is going to be very busy!! Nice meeting you guys today, I sure am happy we found those guys in good shape!!

For this reason everybody should donate that extra $$$ in their pockets to the S&R. Never know when you might need them!

Thanks

Make a donation to chuck beasley to help get more supplies boxes out there to help in cases like this as well. a gps and the cordinates to the boxes would help a bunch, Glad they were found all are alright.
