Help choosing goggles for MX helmet

Just ordered the 08 model

I've had Scott, Oakley and 509's.

The 09 509's look great and fit really nice. Can't wait to hit the snow with them. Make sure to get 2 pair so you can swap out for the snow conditions.

I roll 509's and Oakely A-Frames. Carry multiple pairs for sure. I'm fat and sweaty and usually have 3 pairs with me at all time in case of fogging. Although 509's have yet to fail me.

Get the Scotts (Thermax ?) with the big nose piece. It with a breath deflector in the helmet you stay warm and never fog.

You really need to test fit the helmet to your head, the googgles to your helmet, and to your face. What works for one guy will not necessarily work for you, alot depends on the shape of your head and face. Go to one of the shows where you can try on alot of combos.

Always rolled with Scott 89 XI turbo's, until I ran across the 509's. There is no comparison.......

Best advice yet!!! Try on no less than a dozen diffent make and models of helmets til you find the fit you want. You will know it when you find that magic glove. Ignore colors ect til you find the fit. Then you can order what you want. Now, with your new helmet in hand do the same with goggles. The scotts, oakleys 509's are all good goggles, but all will fit diffent in YOUR helmet and YOUR face. Fit is more important then brand is...Have fun shopping, I hate it.

We have been using the Snow Warp by Smith for a couple years. Been pretty happy.

I just bought a pair of Scott 89XI with the changing lenses. They seem to fit good, but I have no comment on how they work. I've been using the Spy for the last 5 years, and they worked really well. I just liked how these lenses went from blue to clear depending on the light.

I ordered a pair of the 09 Sinister 509 Snow Camo yesterday. Looking forward to trying them out. Hopefully they're compatable with the Quick Strap.
