Helmets: Modular vs Snocross

was it just me? but i had a hjc electric helmet, and unless you had the breath guard it would still fog, and my face froze all the time, i heard some helmets people put foam stripping around the inside of the visor because the visor would act like a cowl induction hood.

Im on my 3rd mx style helmet, the 509 may not be made of carbon fiber but its light and with the 509 goggles there is no place for wind to hit your face.

i have one of these and its even more protection and keep the goggles from fogging while not moving.

and i have one of these

I have never froze my face with this combo

If you have glasses like me the modular works the best. Air flow in goggles is so poor glasses always fog.

I agree, Mods are maybe? not cool but more than a couple of times the guys with mod helmets were the ones leading the way out in blizzards because everyone else was hoplessly fogged. Just my 02, your mileage may vary.

Two guys we ride with have modulars and by the middle of the day they are always using our spare goggles cause they can't keep them unfogged.
