Helmet has omg chem smell

Hey, not sure where to post this but since I ride a pro.......

Bought my daughter a new helmet off eBay.......has an OMG chemical smell. Any way to get rid of it? I let it sit out for a couple of weeks before wrapping it. She unwrapped it and it's just as strong as before.

Try washing helmet inside and out with dish soap with out liners in it.

After washing you could set your helmet over activated charcoal to help absorb the smell.
