Hello to everyone

Hello to all the kind folks out there. I joined snow west last spring and haven't posted on the WA forum much. With all the goodbye threads lately I thought I'd post a hello thread.

My wife and I are new to the sport of snowmobiling, we bought a couple of sleds in November 08. We're looking for good off trail places to ride this year, and plan on going to Baker/Bearpaw quite a bit this year. We've mostly ridden Stampede and Gold Creek, and we want to get off the rode more in those areas too (power line trails, bowls etc). I've already learned quite a bit about local riding areas by reading the forum threads, and hope to learn more in the future.

Good to see a nice post on here. If you want to see some more offtrail riding and get tired of Gold Creek or Stampede you should head over to Salmon La Sac. Baker is fun too but I am not sure its the best spot for newer riders unless you have some good equipment and avy training. There are safe places to ride up there but it can be pretty gnarly if the weather rolls in and if you are not experienced riding deep snow.

Hello back. I'm new to the Snow West forum myself, but like the threads here. I hope you and your wife have a great riding season this year. :)
