Hello, New Member!!!!!

Well, I've lurked around for a little bit, and finally decided to join the fun/discussion. This forum is huge so I thought I'd say hello in the Utah section.

Welcome aboard.

If you've been lurking for awhile you know most of the "characters" on here. No need to warn you any further.

Now for the important questions: Got Beacon; Probe; Shovel; Avy training?

Yes to all the above? Come ride with us some time. We need young guys to pull sleds out.:D

Yes, I do have a shovel, No beacon or Probe, and I went to the Avy class at TCP open house a couple years or so ago.

Truth is, I never (as much as possible) put myself in the position I should need one of those. I stay away from bare avy prone hills, I'm mostly a meadow/tree masher. But I'm getting both in the next few week, to be on the safe side. That and I'd like to start climbing a little more, plus max at TCP was giving me a hard time last week. :) I'd like to go riding with the faces around here some time.

I ride hard but do my best to avoid avy prone areas too: But I wear a beacon so not only could I be found should the worst happen but so I can try and find someone who gets caught in one.

I have the BCA beacons: simple to use and take a beating. Others may have different opinions.
