Here it is almost November and the place is deserted. Half the posts in every category are a day old and still on page 1. Did the new face of the forum bum out half the gang? Is everyone too broke to think about sledding? Did I miss a memo and we've moved?
It is a "New Snow World" here at Snowest. I think the activity is down for a number of reasons, mostly, the multiple changes & the slooow speed.
Next comes way too much moderation, the slide to "Politcal Correctness" of posts and its enforcement, of which I agree with & also disagree with. Agree since it did get pathetic with all the $h!tdisturbing, and disagree with since that is how this forum started 10-11 years ago, we used to handle our own, now, its kinda like SnoBamaWest, they will take care of all of it for you. .......... wether you want it or not
the slooooow west community is nice people and all but this waiting for a page for ever i cannot take, i'll check back when its useable, during the day its fine but no one is on
I've been off because you all bore me...ok not really but I get tired waiting....This place is slower than facebook.... It gets old. but it's snowing out so **** it I decided to check it out today.
Speed certainly does suck. You used to be able to blow thru your 4 or 5 sections and catch up on evrything in minutes. You could actually get other things done and come back to it of and on. It takes me almost 2 hours now to get thru my 6 areas.
I also do not care for the shout bar in it's current location. If you use your scrolling option on your mouse or laptop you have to navigate around it. I find myself getting in to the middle of it and scrolling there and not where I am headed.

You can turn off the "rainbow rep" and the shout box in your profile. Does not make it any faster, just less annoying. I'm not a fan of all the changes, but I guess it's thier site. I can thank Chritopher for all the stuff I can get done now that I don't frequent slowwest as much.
