2010 D8 with silber turbo
I have read on here most guys recomend a straight 48 for turbo applications. my silber kit came with a 40/48 and 44/48 combo helix. i have been running it in the 44/48 position. when i am putsin along and stab the throttle the r's spike and then fall back about 300 rpms and settle in there. does the initial angle of the helix cause this or is that just something a turbo sled does?

also, would gearing affect clutching at all?? like higher gearing would pull less weight while lower gearing would pull more weight?? just havent been able to pull near the weight justin says i should be able to but sled seems to be running strong

The 44 start on the helix doesn't upshift as fast as the straight 48 would and thus you get a little rpm swing high off the start.

Yes gearing will affect what you run for weights. It depends on how high you have geared up.
