Heavy tip vs light tip weights on M series

Has anyone ever tried the heavy tip weights on the M series sleds. Was thinking of trying the 69gram heavy tip weights on my 09 M8 to see if the rpm wandering while climbing a hill decreased but I also know the heavy tip does not backshift as well so I am not sure what to do. By the way I have the slp pipe so I am trying to maintain close to 8000 rpm while climbing.

Try one of those shift assists in the secondary, i did and it was a huge improvement! and try changing your primary spring if your still running the stock one!

Keep the light tips, the secondary just doesn't have enough signal to control the heavy tips. Play with the primary spring instead.

I tried a set of 69 gram heavy tips in my 07 M8 with the RKT head and porting. Starts strong but falls flat.

my results any ways

Have not tried heavy tip, but tried some medium tip on my M7 2 years ago. I don't recall many specifics on performance vs. light tips, but felt they worked fine.

I am using Heavy hitters on my 09 m8 162 SP and have had great success with 68 g body and 3.3g in the first hole 4.2g in the second and nothing on the tip. straight 36 secondary. 160 320 primary spring 6500 ft

I had the RPM problem also. I just put in the RK-TEK 38-36, sno-pro green, sencondary. Now when I hit the throttle it maxs the RPM's and stays there. But my snow conditions are different also its heavy and wet now insted of deep and dry.

What kind of RPM's are you guys running? I am seeing mine flash up to almost 8200. I'm wondering if I need more weight. It calls for 75 gram weights for MN and I have 75.5 in my CPC's and I can't get any more in them.
