Heated wondshield compartment - not so hot

Any one else notice that the heated compartment on the axys doesnt get warm at all? I had the heated nxtlvl bag on my pro and it worked great. Not so much on the Axys. Didnt really want to have to cut the area out, but it seems like its the only real option for a heated compartment.

I thought about maybe drilling the holes bigger. But ya found same thing nxtlvl bags on my pro and axys

mine did not not get as hot as my old Pro, ham and cheese in the Axys is just ham and cheese, in the Pro it was melted ham and cheese

Since I couldn't fit goggles in it I figured it would make a good snickers warmer. ... didn't even do that.

It didn't melt your snickers?
Thats too bad.

Reeses nutrageous doesn't freeze in mine. :)

I think the vents right under the headlight let lots of air in and out.
Not much of a warm area under the hood.
( one of the other reasons added venting is absolutely worthless) :)

The goggle warmer (oem poo from my pro) works excellent for subway sandwiches. :)

I hear ya bro. . . I have been saying the same thing for many years!

They only time you need venting is when the powder is DEEP, and that is when you got 'er pinned, going slow and all the vents are covered, providing almost ZERO airflow :) Some sort of "forced airflow" system would work well i think, like the "blow hole" someone was selling on here.

My bag didn't get warm ether. I put my phone and googles in there, but my iPhone wasn't liking the cold. I was hoping it would be a little warmer in there to keep the battery life up. I guess Ill buy another under the hood google holder like I had on my Pro. Anyone else using that on the Axys?

Yep same boat- my I phone get so cold in the windshield that it won't work (get an error on temp on the phone)
Bag does keep the elements out- sure will keep a energy drink cold though HA.HA.
I did fit my old pro under hood bag in the same area as my pro and with my GGB trail can the food in there gets warm (could be warmer)
I keep my phone in there and my special made sledding burrito and all eats and works like it should.
I agree that the vents above the pipe ( below the headlamps) let's a lot of the heat out (and snow in) as it should.

I just got a little greedy and drilled out some of the holes under this bag. They were only slightly larger than 1/8" so I opened them up to 1/4". Not sure If it will help. Im hoping to ride behind the house tomorrow to see and test out some new clutch weights. I also ran a wire through the bag for my Bully Dog controller.
