Heated seat

Thinking about adding a heated seat to mama bears' 06 Gade. Doo seems to have some for newer sleds, but not the 2006 vintage.

I see there are aftermarket companies that have 9"x18" heating elements for cars, motorcycles, boats....

I have no idea how well these things work. . . . .how much amperage they draw. . . . . pitfalls. . . . .

Lookin for some experienced thoughts.

IMO - unless Mamma never gits off the hardpacked trail, and never at speeds that toss some dust in the air - a heated seat has GOT to be the WORST assy I have ever heard of!

I kinda like the days that never gits above 15*F as I stay much dryer! Although I may have to at least START the day out with some real gloves on first thing in the morning .....

I have seen a few guys run them here on touring sleds. I know Cat has been using them for a few years now. I don't know anybody that has run one but I would think that if you are on trail they might work well for the Mrs. But in the powder I would think they would make for a wet seat. :face-icon-small-hap

I think Dennis Kirk sells a kit for one.
