Heated Goggles??

Where is there any info about the battery? What kind of battery is used?

The rechargeable Lithium Ion battery pack can be installed on the goggle strap or the arm band provided. The large frame is constructed of urethane for flexibility with an integrated comfort flow ventilation system and the oversize hypoallergenic triple density face foam provides great comfort to absorb shocks and sweat without irritating the face. They have a premium dual hinged strap system to fit any facial geometry with silicone backing on the strap itself for no slip performance. Includes a clip nose guard for additional protection, and a wall charger for the battery pack.

I had a pair years ago and they worked fine if you where trail riding or flying across the field. In the deep snow you end up getting on and off the sled way more then you think. You will make the mistake once of jumping off and the cord will rip ending there life.

I looked into this a while back. You can find companies that make heat strips powered by almost any voltage. 6v 9v 12v 24v 120v 240v

Very popular for socks , gloves and helmets.

Run the battery to the helmet and put it in the liner by the ear.

I ended up putting a goggle holder container (cheap plastic tool holder) with vents in the engine compartment. Took a spare pair of goggles wrapped them up in a cloth baby diaper for wicking and swap them out when one fogged up. Also brought baby oil to lighty coat the lens so they don't fog.

Baby oil wont hurt your eyes.

Got my hands on my first pair of the new HELIUM GOGGLES at the SLC Snow Show this afternoon.

Yahama rep delivered me a pair of the new

Advanced Tec E-Chrome Goggle
Advanced Tech goggles feature a patented E-Chrome dual lens that instantly tints dark when activated or returns to normal when deactivated for great vision in changing light conditions.

While this was not the pair I was expecting I have been having some fun with these at the show.

When you press the button on top of the headband mounted battery pack it activates an LCD panel that is mounted between the inner and outer lens. When this is energized the lens DARKENS instantly.

This allows you to choose lighter or darker at the touch of a button as the lightening condition on the ride change.

Will have much more info when the show is over.

Abraham Lincoln is quoted as having once said.

"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."

One of the best things I bought last year was a vented underhood bag. Store my spare goggles and gloves in it. Putting on a warm pair of goggles and gloves half way through the day is priceless. The wet ones go into the bag. I have never needed more than one new pair a day but they dry pretty fast. MH, try one of them, you will love it.

Been riding with them for ten+ years, imo how can 509 beat out the leader of the free world in goggles and sunglasses. Just my opinion take it for what it is worth.

But I did buy a Ski Doo carbon fiber helmet last year and it is awesome so I would expect the goggles to be the same.
