Heat Tape ?????????

I picked up a nice big roll from Autozone a few weeks ago, I think it was about the same size and price...:D

Spend the big bucks!!!! In the parking lot you can brag about it.....mine is the cheap reflective tape like from the home depot... works well. See ya next week :D

I run stuff from the local building supply place... 10 yards was like $4. and it works well enough to keep the heat from melting plastics.

Only heat tape the essentials.

Let the other non heat sensitive items absorb the heat so it can dissipate it.

Good suggestion :beer;:beer;

also, a few extra vents will help substantially also to get the heat out of there all together

Been using Home Repot HVAC tape for yrs.... Works awesome!!! Double up layers in critical areas if you are concerned. As others said, use heat gun and lots of brake cleaner or ether to prep the area!!!! Chit sticks better with heat;););)

How does the one from Home Depot and the one from SLP compare in thickness.. I went to Home Depot tonight to pick some up, but the one pictured in the first post doesnt state what temps it is good to. They did have some other stuff there good for just over 200°, but it was pricey.. How do the 2 compare in thickness and does anyone know what the temp rating on the roll pictured from the first post? Does everyone running the stuff from Home Depot run the one pictured or a different one? Thanks

I use the tape good for 175F. weak link is the glue and the increased heat will cause it to loose its cohesive properties. Can always get some cheap glue or heat permatex to over secure it.

I bought some stuff tonight from the home depot, but not the link above.

I found some stuff that was rated -35 to 375 it was 2.83 wide 50 yard roll $18.

I says it has a improved industrial gule, what ever that means

We'll see how she works
