heat cycle on the fix

on one of the threads one of the members talked about on his second heat cycle what does that mean and what is the proper way to this ? im just getting the fix done so if i can improve the life now is the time. thanxs for the replies treefarmer

i did the fix over the summer, and heat cycled the motor too. i started it up, and let her idle until it hit operating temp, shut her down and let it cool off. i believe this is to seat the rings properly.... helps to find the niggling leaks that appear when the motor grows and shrinks with the heat.
i did mine 3 times, then on first trip, i ***** footed to the cabin keeping an eye on temps.... all was good, no leaks, then let 'er rip.
