Heads, Elevations and fuel maps

I just picked up my first M1000. It has a RK tek head and porting with domes with a 13.5:1 compression radio, A full speedwerx exhaust and timbersled intake, boondocker box and dual egts.

The guy I bought it from says he has it dialed pretty good for Togwotee elevation. He has 3 different maps on the boondocker, a rich one for 5000 to 7000 feet, a leaner one for more trail riding and a little boondocking around 7000 to 8000 ft, and leaner one for boondocking around 8000-10000ft.

My problem is that I live in Wisconsin and hope to make it out west twice a year. But I also do a quite a few trips to the U.P and I would like to bring the sled up there as well, where the elevation is around 1500 ft or so.

I plan to do more research on this over summer. But he says to run here I would need to run 50/50 or straight race gas. So I was thinking of getting some lower compression domes or run the stock head. How much would I need to change the map to run down here?

If anybody has any experience or ideas or suggestions, please post them up.

What year sled is it? You definately would need to run some race gas with that head at 1500 feet. If you ride Wisconsin most of the time, I would recommend going stock again on the head. As far as fuel, you will need to probably run the rich one for 5-7K plus a couple points. You will get leaner the lower you go in elevation. Throw some egt's on it and just be careful watching temps and pulling plugs the first time out. I believe you can have up to 5 maps in the newer BD boxes. Good luck....

P.S. PM me if you want a stock head for it.
